Kosheli Nepali Cultural Fusion U.K-AGM 2016

Kosheli (Nepali Cultural Fusion U.K.) held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday
the 27th of March 2016, at The Royal Club, Greenford.

As per formality, the President of the organization, Amrit Gurung, made a welcome speech to both the special and chief guests, as well as those from other Nepalese organizations; among them, Dr Raghav Prasad Dhital, O.B.E.

This was followed by a summary of events that Kosheli has contributed to during the last active year, be it functions of a social, charitable or cultural nature; this was presented by the Secretary Purna Man Bajracharya.

Trustee member Sharmila Shah Singh then spoke about Kosheli’s achievements, aspirations and upcoming goals; the official launching of the organization’s website, setting up of a dance class, and encouraging the younger Nepali generation to be involved in cultural events, being the particular
highlights.

Treasurer Ruby Thapa then presented the year’s Finance Report; the formalities were allowed a smooth flow, with executive member Khem Gautam, on the anchoring.

Then, as is only natural to Kosheli, the cultural portion of the AGM took place. Live music, songs both folk and contemporary made for a pleasant evening.

Kosheli were proud to introduce the following musicians:
Prabhab Shrestha (Tabla player),  Amrit Gurung (Guitarist) and  young musician Reva Singh (Keyboard player). Hopeful that they will continue and also inspire more of the Nepali youth here to get involved; giving us all promise of continuing our ethos of preserving and promoting Nepali heritage and language in the U.K.

Sincere gratitude as always, to all the team members, guests and supporters who attended the AGM and who continuously support and encourage Kosheli.

Many thanks also to the proprietors of The Royal Club for accommodating us all so warmly on the night, and of course to Sushil Singh, who took footage of the event on behalf of Nepali Samaj U.K.
